Likes are nice, but let’s be honest: most small business owners want posts that bring in sales. Here’s the formula I teach clients for writing posts that move people to action:
1. Hook – Start with the problem your customer cares about.Example (plumber): “Worried about frozen pipes this winter?”
2. Value – Share a quick, practical tip.Example: “A $10 pipe insulation wrap can save you thousands in repairs.”
3. Call-to-Action – End with one simple next step.Example: “Book your winter inspection today and avoid the headache.”
Here’s a real post from a fitness studio I worked with:
Hook: “Struggling to stick to workouts?”
Value: “Our 30-minute lunchtime classes are designed for busy people who need quick, effective routines.”
CTA: “Try your first class free — message us to book.”
Result? That single post brought in 12 trial sign-ups in one week.
